So, I finally finished the Memory Keeper Box and cards for my Mother's Day Workshop. I used CTMH's Emporium Creative Basics kit for the box and the cards. I had a lot of fun designing these cards.

Here are some close-ups of the cards:

Food Journals

Hi all- hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had a busy one for sure- soccer games and lots of other things!
For anyone who is interested- I can actually run almost two miles now! It feels great and I really feel like I'm making some progress!
So here are the two new food journals I made for the nutritionist at my gym- she may want to see if her clients would be interested in buying them ( that would be soo exciting!)

Thanks for looking-have a great day!

Happy Saturday!

Hi all! I can't believe how the week flew by! I've been so busy with lots of stuff going on and haven't had much time to create!
Soccer begins today for David and Emily and then Emily has a birthday party- fun! I'm looking forward to being outside again as it gets warmer.
I'll be back later today to post some new food journals I've been working on. The nutrtionist at my gym might be interested in selling some to her clients to help them keep track of their food. It's really been helping me- I'm down around 4.5lbs now! Woohoo!
I'm also working on my Mother's Day workshop gift box and cards. If anyone is interested in the attending this workshop or purchasing a kit, please let me know!
Hope everyone has a happy day! See you later!

Happy Sunday! I was fortunate enough to attend a Crop Night at my friend Denise's house on Friday night. We had a blast! There is nothing like meeting up with friends for a few hours and spending some time cropping and laughing!

I spent the time working on my cousin's baby book. Here are the two pages I finished on Friday-

Good afternoon! I hope everyone is having a great day! I am- I made it to the gym this morning and actually ran for 15 minutes straight! For some this may not be a major accomplishment but for me with my asthma and extra (lots of extra) weight, I was so excited!

I made this cute little baby boy card for my sister-in-law's sister who just had a baby boy recently! I used one of the new stamp sets, Family Ties and think the baby is just perfect. For the word "miracle" I used my favorite alphabet set Chocolate (small).

Thanks for looking- have a great day!

NEW- March Layout!

Hi everyone! So, I wasn't very happy with my original March layout. It just didn't feel right to me. I revamped, added a new technique- ghosting- and this is the result. I'd love to hear opinions and/or comments about what you all think!

Thanks for looking!!

March Layout

Good afternoon! Here is the March Layout for my monthly club. I used the Emporium Level 2 Paper and the March Stamp of the Month. I made the butterfly by first inking it with Sweet Leaf and then using a sponge dauber to add the Crystal Blue around the edges. I cut it out and used the Prisma Glitter to make it all sparkly!

This is the first layout where I tried using the paper piercing technique. I thought it would help make the butterfly look like it was flying. I like the paper piercing but am not so sure about the stamped images along the piercings. I guess I will have to just keep practicing!!

Thanks for looking- as always- any comments or suggestions are welcome!

Birthday cards-

I made these two cards for Emily's friends. She has her first sleep-over birthday party tomorrow- (yikes!). For this technique I combined Liquid Glass with a re-inker (I chose blush). Then I added some Prisma Glitter and used a paint brush to paint it onto the dress. This idea was originally posted by another fabulous CTMH consultant named Mindy. I'm not sure if I love the way the cards turned out but I will definately be trying more of these!

Have a wonderful day!

First Bath Layout

So I finished another layout. This one is for Baby's First Bath. I used a combination of CTMH products and papers and some stickers and embellishments form my local store. I love all the colors on this layout- it feels very soft and baby to me.

Left side of the layout-
right side of the layout-
Hope you enjoy them!

Only two more days left to enter the blog candy contest. So far, Linda has this wrapped up! She will be receiving the March Stamp of the Month. If you want to get your name in the running, please post a lowfat or healthy recipe so I can fill up my recipe cards! Thanks!

Have a great day-

Some picture fun!

So, during one of my workshops, I happened to be speaking to one of my guests and she started telling me abut photo markers. You use these markers to add color to your black and white (or sepia) photos. Of course, once I heard about this, I had to find them, buy them and try them out.

I finally figured out how to print my black and white pics and was able to find matte photo paper. Here is my first attempt at adding in color- it's not that great but I think I'm going to love this technique!

after:

Not too many changes, the hair and the collar, the fence and some leaves in the grass. I can already see this will become a new obsession (and a scrapbook topic!)

Thanks for looking- have a great day!

Food Journals

Happy Monday! It's very snowy here in the NY- quite a change from the other day!

In keeping with my resolution, I have been going to the gym fairly regularly and working out with a girl named Chris. She is wonderful and really helps me focus on the things I need to do. A while back, I created a food journal for myself and Chris asked me if I would make a few for her clients. I was very flattered and said of course. I am making four altogether but I finished the first two today.

Here they are:

and the inside:

These were really easy to make. I used colored chipboard for the covers, CTMH's Emporium Paper and my Bind-it-All to put the book together!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
